The 6 plugins

Wearton's home page: a closet piece in the app with its colour season match

Wearton

The Wearton plugin brings the closet of the Wearton app into ChatGPT and Claude Code. Three skills tell the assistant what to do: closet answers what you own, wear and what suits your colours; add-item saves a piece from a shop's photo or one you upload; outfits builds looks from your own pieces for an occasion and the weather, and saves the one you like.

  • Three skills: closet, add-item and outfits
  • Outfits matched to the temperature and to your colour palette
  • Pieces you have not worn for a while come first

Suits you if you use Wearton and want ChatGPT or Claude Code to plan outfits from it.

Modebase's guide to using your real clothes with ChatGPT

Modebase

Modebase Wardrobe is in the ChatGPT plugin directory with the line "Plan what to wear". It lets ChatGPT find pieces in your Modebase wardrobe, preview outfits, plan looks and build capsules from clothes you own, save outfits and style preferences, log wears and review how you use your wardrobe.

  • Listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory
  • Works on the free ChatGPT plan, its maker says
  • Capsules and lookbooks from clothes you own

Suits you if you use ChatGPT every day and want it to know your wardrobe.

Able.Style's home page with the question "What shall I wear today?"; the street photos behind it are blurred

Able.Style

Able.Style is in the ChatGPT plugin directory as a personal style assistant, with the line "Fashion ideas for any weather". It decides what you wear from your own closet, the occasion and the local weather, and you can add clothes you own and like or dislike outfits to improve the next ideas.

  • Listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory
  • Ideas for the occasion and the local weather
  • Adds clothes from a photo or a description

Suits you if you want a quick ChatGPT answer on what to wear in today's weather.

Fashion Wardrobe's GitHub page with its files and releases; the maker's avatar is blurred

Fashion Wardrobe

Fashion Wardrobe is a ChatGPT and Codex plugin made only of skills, with no app and no MCP server. It builds a fashion profile from your photos, keeps the clothes you approve, puts outfits together by hand or at random, scores them, and shows each outfit on your real full-body photo, with eyewear added without changing your face.

  • Outfits shown on your real full-body photo
  • Each image is checked before it is shown
  • No account and no sign-in

Suits you if you want to see outfits on your own photo inside ChatGPT.

Closai's home page: three phone screens of an inventory built from purchases

Closai

Closai is listed in both the ChatGPT plugin directory and the Claude directory. It brings your purchase history into the chat, so you do not have to explain what you own every time. You search anything you own and get ideas on what to use, wear or buy for an occasion.

  • Listed in both the ChatGPT and the Claude directory
  • Knows what you bought without adding pieces by hand
  • Outfit ideas for an occasion or the weather

Suits you if you use both ChatGPT and Claude and want your purchases in each.

My Closet

My Closet, by Tolstoy, is in the ChatGPT plugin directory with the line "Save and find your clothes". It keeps a private closet for you inside ChatGPT: you save a piece from a description or a photo, find it again, remove it, or move on to Tolstoy's Shopbots app.

  • Listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory
  • A guest closet with no email
  • Saves a piece from a description or a photo

Suits you if you want ChatGPT to remember the clothes you own, and nothing more.

How we compare

  1. We searched the ChatGPT plugin directory and the Claude directory with about 30 words, such as wardrobe, closet, outfit and stylist, and with the names of known wardrobe products.
  2. We kept the plugins for the clothes you own. Shop assistants, try-on tools with no closet and a private pilot are left out. Wearton's plugins are not public yet: their row shows them as they are today.
  3. For each one we read its listing, its skills and the tools of its MCP server, and marked the 13 features. A feature counts when one of them shows it.
  4. Listings were read on October 11, 2026. The directories can show different plugins in different countries and accounts.
  5. Images are screenshots of public pages about each plugin.

Questions about wardrobe plugins

What is the difference between a plugin and an MCP server?

An MCP server is the service that has the tools; you connect it by pasting its address. A plugin is the package that ChatGPT or Claude shows in its own directory: you find it there, add it with one click and sign in. A plugin can also bring skills, written steps that tell the assistant how to use the tools. Some plugins, such as Fashion Wardrobe, are only skills and have no server.

What are the skills of a plugin?

Skills are written steps that come with a plugin and tell the assistant how to do one task. Wearton's plugin has three: closet, add-item and outfits; its outfits skill picks warmer pieces for colder days and prefers colours close to your palette. Fashion Wardrobe has two: one builds outfit images on your photo, the other checks each image before it is shown. My Closet has one.

Do wardrobe plugins work on the free ChatGPT plan?

Modebase says its plugin works on any ChatGPT plan, the free one included. The other listings do not say. A server that is not in the directory is added by its address in developer mode instead, and Aesty's and Vêtir's guides say that needs a paid plan.
