What it does

Alta keeps your closet: you add clothes by photo, from its product database, or by forwarding email receipts, and it removes the background and fills in the details. It makes outfits for the weather and for any event you describe, and shows them on an avatar that looks like you. A calendar plans and logs your looks, and stats show your most and least worn pieces and cost per wear.

What stands out

  • Free, with nothing to buy in the app
  • Fills the closet from forwarded email receipts and a product database
  • Daily outfits for the weather, and outfits for an event you describe
  • Outfits shown on an avatar that looks like you
  • Calendar, cost per wear, packing lists and a wishlist with sale alerts; also a web app

What its listings and website do not mention

  • Add clothes from a shop's website or a link
  • Finds your own colours

Who it suits

Alta suits you if you have a large closet of branded clothes and want an AI to do most of the styling for free.
