The 16 apps, in order of features

Three Acloset screens: an outfit you style yourself, outfit ideas from the AI stylist with the weather, and import from online shops

Acloset

You plan outfits on a calendar and ask the AI stylist in a chat, which picks outfits from your closet for the weather, the occasion and your schedule. Try On shows the clothes on an avatar made from your photo in your own clothes or in wishlist pieces, and you can save the result as an outfit.

Three Alta screens: outfits for a party with the weather, the closet grid by category, and an outfit builder with one row for each category

Alta

Alta generates outfits from your closet for the weather or for an event you describe, such as a date night in Paris, and can build outfits around one piece you name. Outfits are shown on an avatar that looks like you and go into a style calendar.

Three Fits screens: a closet grid, an outfit on a canvas, and an outfit calendar

Fits

You make outfits by going through your clothes one by one, or by placing them on a free canvas, which also has stickers and hair styles with Fits Pro. An AI stylist suggests outfits for the occasion and the weather, and a calendar keeps planned and past outfits.

Three OpenWardrobe screens: the items grid with category filters, a sweatshirt with its wear count, cost per wear and resale value, and an outfit with its wear count

OpenWardrobe

You combine pieces into outfits in grids or collages, set the occasion and plan them for future events. LolaAI suggests outfits and shows how a piece you are thinking of buying goes with your clothes, and friends can suggest outfits too.

Three Beauty AI screens: a closet grid with prices, Beauty Lens results for trousers, and an outfit planner for the week

Beauty AI

You choose an occasion, and the AI builds an outfit from your clothes with shoes, bags and accessories. You can preview the look on your own photo and put outfits into a weekly schedule.

Three Wearton screens: today's outfit for the weather, the closet with cost per wear, and a new piece with its colour match

Wearton

Build manually puts pieces from your closet into an outfit, and Style me suggests up to 3 outfits for one of 5 occasions. Today shows an outfit for the weather and your calendar plans, and Wear this logs it.

Three Whering screens: Dress Me shuffling clothes into an outfit, an outfit canvas, and daily outfit ideas with the temperature

Whering

Dress Me mixes your closet into new outfits, and the planner suggests outfits from your closet and the weather. Friends can make outfits for you through style submissions, and packing lists come with reminders.

Three Pureple screens: the closet by category, outfit collages with a Style Me button, and a piece with its calendar date

Pureple

You arrange pieces in the outfit maker, or let Style Me and Style this item build outfits from your closet with Pro. Virtual try-on shows an outfit set on an AI model, and you can save it to the calendar or a packing list.

Three Indyx screens: a closet grid, outfit boards, and a month calendar of outfits

Indyx

You build outfits yourself on drag-and-drop boards, schedule them on a calendar and log what you wore with a selfie of your outfit. Its listings show no automatic outfits; instead, friends, other users or paid stylists can style your closet.

Three Cladwell screens: the closet, today's outfit with the weather, and a Deep Autumn colour palette

Cladwell

Cladwell shows daily outfit ideas from your closet using the weather forecast, and Ask Cladwell answers what to wear for an occasion or a trip. See it on me shows an outfit from your closet on a photo of you, with a subscription.

Three Stylebook screens: a grid of tops, an outfit collage, and a month calendar of outfits

Stylebook

You layer and resize clothes on a free-form canvas to make collages, or let the outfit generator mix your closet into random outfits. Packing lists take whole outfits and turn them into checklists.

Three Smart Closet screens: the closet grid by category, a ZARA sweater clipped in the built-in browser, and an outfit canvas

Smart Closet

You combine clothes freely on a canvas, or get random looks from rules you set yourself. Looks go on a calendar and into travel packing, and you can share them on Facebook or Instagram.

Three Clueless screens: the closet, today's look with the weather, and a day plan

Clueless

You pick one piece or tell Katire, the AI stylist, what you are dressing for, and the app builds a complete look from clothes you own. A weekly planner fills seven days with the weather forecast, and you record what you wore. Its App Store listing says English only.

Three Nouva screens: a jacket with its tags, an outfit for the weather, and a shopping feed

Nouva

You tell Nouva the occasion, and it builds outfits from your pieces using the weather forecast, each with a colour harmony score. Complete the Look builds an outfit around one piece and suggests shop pieces only where your closet has a gap.

Three Google Photos Wardrobe screens: clothes found in photos, saved outfits, and an outfit with a Try it on button

Google Photos

You tap Create, pick up to 6 pieces that Google Photos found in photos of you, and save them as a named outfit. Try it on makes a video of the outfit on you, and you can share outfits or save them to moodboards.

Three Style DNA screens: adding your own clothes by text search, photo library or camera, a T-shirt with a 100% match and pieces from your closet that go with it, and a personal shop

Style DNA

Style DNA gives you 5 outfits a day from your clothes, sorted by occasion and matched to your colour type, body type and style type. You can also photograph a piece in a shop to see how to style it with your own wardrobe.

How we compare

  1. We took the 16 apps of the closet app guide and compared them again, this time on 10 features for making and planning outfits.
  2. For each app we read its App Store and Google Play listings, text and screenshots, and its maker's website, and marked the 10 features. A feature counts only when one of them shows it.
  3. Lists and tables are in order of features.
  4. Listings were read on October 9, 2026. Wearton is not in the stores yet: its row shows the app as it is today. For Google Photos we count only its Wardrobe feature.
